Why, Hello there! :)
My name is Megan & this is my very first blog... EVER. I'm completely new to the blogging world, but I know I'll get more accustomed to it after a lot more research and experimenting. -Fingers crossed-
The sole uses of this blog are honestly for my simple entertainment & as somewhat of an outlet to express my baking creativity & an occasional SPRINKLE of my personal life too!
On that note:
I'm currently a student studying biochemistry/pharmaceutical sciences & living in sunny, San Diego, CA.
I come from tight-knit, hectic and (sometimes overly) emotional family that consists of my father, my mother, & my brother. My father is a kind-hearted, funny, easy-going, simplistic man with a passion for cycling & isn't afraid to refer you as "dude or bro". (I'm a daddy's girl). & my mother is a strong, independent, introverted, dramatic, unpredictable woman. Lastly there is Marty- a very smart, outgoing, bluntly honest, yet caring brother, who is & will always be my best friend. He truly knows & understands more about me than I do myself.
Next, there is the special man in my life! We're coming up on 4 years this June. Wow, does time really fly! Although we don't live in the same city anymore, I feel like we never miss much, thanks to modern technology- webcams, iPhones, etc. He means so much to me, and he is my inspiration/motivation when it comes to a lot of things in my life. I really couldn't ask for more. All smiles there! <3
Then comes my puppy, well, not really a puppy anymore... Rambo! This quirky half daschund/half shepherd keeps me sane and can cheer me up at any given moment. How can you stay angry at that face?
My passion for baking began from even as a little girl making your basic chocolate
chip cookies! And to this day, I still prefer baking over cooking. (Not to mention, I have a pretty large sweet tooth.) Right after high school, I worked as a cake decorator for a few years and fell in love with it! Since then, with a constant busy schedule of school and work, I find that when I do find the time to bake, it provides comfort in many ways for me. I have a strong admiration for anything crafty & hand-made! There's just something about creating something from the heart (& for the tummy) that makes all the hard work worthwhile. So keep an eye out for my delectable creations and, possibly, disasters. DUN. Dun. dun.So that's me in a small nutshell! :)
